Pastor | | Click Here For A Welcome Message From Assoc. Pastor Williamson
Brad was born in Lumberton, North Carolina to Ray and Evelyn Williamson. His father was ordained shortly after and became pastor of Rock of Zion FWB Church, Pamlico County. A few years later they moved to Pitt County where Ray became pastor of Gum Swamp FWB Church. Later they moved to Rocky Mount where Ray became pastor of First FWB Church. Brad is a graduate of Southwest Edgecombe High School. He entered as a freshman at North Carolina State University and after a few months of dealing with God's calling, Brad accepted the call into the gospel ministry.
He then transferred to Mount Olive College to pursue a degree in Religion. He was licensed to minister soon after and began to fill-in for different ministers on occasion. He served the First FWB Church in Rocky Mount during that summer as Part-time Youth Pastor. Brad began dating his future wife, Jennifer Whitehurst later that year. In March of 1997, Brad began his ministry as Associate Pastor at First FWB Church in Greenville. Brad married Jennifer that December at the Greenville church. After graduating from Mount Olive College, Brad was ordained into the gospel ministry. Then in November of that year, Brad accepted the call to pastor La Grange First FWB Church in Lenoir County. He began that ministry in February of 1999 and served the La Grange church until August 2006. During that time the La Grange church grew and became a vital part of the community and the denomination. Also during that time Brad felt the need to continue his education and enrolled in Southeastern Baptist Theology Seminary's Masters of Divinity program. Despite the growth of the La Grange church Brad continued to have a desire to work with youth and so he accepted the call to become Black Jack's Associate Pastor for Youth and began in August 2006. Both Brad and Jennifer have had a wonderful ministry at Black Jack and they look forward to what is in store for them. One of those events is his graduation from seminary this December. They both acknowledge God's leading is important in their lives, and that He is the One to receive the glory for all that has taken place. God not only has blessed them in this manner, but also on a personal note. God has given them four wonderful children: Jonathan, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Lydia. They are a joy and tremendous blessing from God. The entire Williamson family looks forward to all that God has in store for them knowing that with Him all things are possible. |
